Under leaden, autumnal skies, Crantock Bay sees the swirling heave of incoming swell flowing amongst the craggy rocks. This location is one of my favourites to shoot as the sundown meets a rising tide. Always keeping an eye out for a rogue wave, it offers me the enervating opportunity to conduct and compose with the incoming sets before they overrun and submerge the rocky shooting position.
This photograph would ideally suit reproduction as a large unframed, contemporary artwork. A high silver content print directly mounted under 2mm acrylic glass would accentuate and reflect the details and pick out brighter hues amongst the overall muted colouration. Such a presentation would create a powerfully engaging artwork that would draw the eye on a dark or neutral wall. You will find a range of size options in this format in the drop down menu below.
Alternatively, a heavily carved, ornate black frame holding a smaller (A4/A3) fine art print would sit perfectly amongst the dark, richly textured surroundings of a study or sitting room.
