Wow... What an evening this was!
All the plans and preparation came together in my viewfinder in one sweet moment. As I stood atop the wind-blown dunes looking over my favourite Cornish bay, the moment I pressed the remote trigger, I knew I had captured a special image. One that reflects the true essence of a 'Cornish Seascape'. The wonderful light. The atmospherics. The colours. The optics. It could be nowhere else on earth.
In preceding days I had been scrutinising my weather, solar and tidal apps and watching with mounting excitement as my ideal conditions appeared to be manifesting themselves over Crantock. A stormy, deep low depression - that conjures a big Atlantic swell and incredible cloud formations - was forecast to meet the high tide as sundown approached. Importantly, a stiff offshore wind would be filling the bodies and tearing at the crests of the incoming rollers. To turn them in to charging white horses with flying manes of swirling spindrift.
