The summer solstice on Crantock sees the fading light of the longest day create a wonderfully rich, tranquil scene that reflects the peacefulness of a still and balmy Cornish evening.
I used a long exposure filter to smooth the sea into a reflective, blue hued, 'negative' space that is cast over with the 'positive' colours and crisp detail in the horizon. My aim was to capture a restful representation of a beautiful scene, that draws the viewer into a wonderful moment in time.
This image would be ideally suited to reproduction at a large size as a contemporary 'acrylic' fine artwork. This would look great against plain white or would create a hugely impressive feature wall by 'blending' in to a dark Prussian blue background.
