Dawn's first light colours a crisp spring daybreak on the Lizard Peninsular. All is quiet and placid. There's only the gentle rush of the flowing wavelets running around the rocks, to leave glossy kelp and smooth, shiny reflections.
I composed this shot to create a positive, reassuring image that engages and holds the eye and inspires the inner psyche. To lead a winding way through the confusion of hard rocks and dark shadows, by following a soft, reflective path that leads to the building light. To express the influence of the rising sun as it chases away the night and creates a new day and. Assuring there is always hope.
Alongside a traditional mounted print, this image would ideally suit reproduction as a large unframed, contemporary artwork. A high resolution print under 4mm or 6mm acrylic glass would compliment the lustrous details and reflections.
