Threatening storm clouds muster over Gurnards on the Atlantic Coast. The howling wind rips at the sea. Flying spray whipped up from the breaking churn at the foot of the cliffs, streams up and over the rugged headland in smoking plumes. A thunderous deluge approaches.
It is the colour and emotion in this image that I find compelling. The brooding sense of the impending tempest. When I look at it, I am transported back to the cold and wet grassy ledge looking out over the scene. The wind was a demon. I had to lay down flat to keep out of the stinging spray that scoured my face whenever I raised up to look for the next wave set.
This image would be suited to reproduction, either as a large 'contemporary' unframed acrylic glass artwork, or as a framed 3D acrylic that has a deep 5.5cm frame with the image set, slightly recessed, at the front edge. This would work with the graphic composition to 'raise' the image off the wall.
The drop down menu below lists the unframed options, but if you would like to discuss the 3D, or indeed any other format choices, feel free to use the Contact Me section, or call me during office hours on 01637 831251. For international calls use +44 1637 831251.
