The rising sun casts a golden glow under heavy clouds, to illuminate Porthcurno's flooding tideline. The wonderful textures and dramatic motion of a pressing wave rush is pinned on the shining sand.
Porthcurno has to be one of my favourite locations. The sand is made from crushed shell that positively shines when wet and has a texture that defines every grain in a high resolution image. Add to this, the steep, raked beach draws the wave break close to shore and this works well in a wide angle lens.
Aside from the options available in the drop down menu below, this image would suit reproduction as a large fine art print mounted within a heavily carved, ornate, black, or antique gold, frame. This impressive piece would create a striking feature amongst clean, white surroundings. Or it would reside amongst the dark, richly textured surroundings of a study or sitting room.
