This is another example of where I had to crawl up to the cliff edge, keeping in the lee of the rocky outcrop to avoid the slamming wind. Gusts were running up to 85mph and the noise was overwhelming. After two or three hours, it's a strange sensation when returning to shelter of the valley that leads back inland. The ears ring and face tingles from the elemental assault.
