I spent a glorious summer's day atop the cliffs looking over Holywell Bay. The sun was scorching in a bright blue sky and there was barely a breath of wind. Yet looking at the horizon, I could see a band of dense fog gradually advancing. It was fascinating to watch it slowly envelop Gulls Rocks and run across the tideline. A few minutes later it had overrun where I was set up and I packed up in a chilled shroud that cooled my face and arms.
