This brooding, melancholic scene manifested from out of a wintry darkness that enveloped Crantock Bay. I find shooting the rising light of dawn totally captivating. There's something 'edgier' about the event. When afternoon passes through evening and in to night, the light transition is far more predictable and thus easier to manipulate. When starting off from composing inky blackness, the reverse is true. Yet it is wonderful to see how the light slowly, imperceptibly, unveils my surroundings. And it is my aim to capture this revealing in my images.
Aside from the options available in the drop down menu below, this image would suit reproduction as a large fine art print mounted within an ornate, mahogany, frame. This brooding artwork would create a striking focal point on a dark or neutral feature wall.
