As a November's afternoon wore on, so a heavy bank of cloud rolled in over Holywell. There's always a sense of anticipation and excitement at such an event because I am watching the elemental evolution of the ever changing scene. My job is to conduct and compose with them, trying to bring everything together in the viewfinder.
So here I was, standing in my waders in the tideline, looking at how the lowering sun was catching the low cloud base. And as I did, so the form of a soaring gull gradually appeared over Gull Rocks. Simply magical!
