Under an autumnal sky, a big swell begins to run in to Crantock Bay, marking the arrival of another Atlantic storm. I always feel a sense of tension at such times. I am watching the clouds. Checking the light and my exposure settings. Noting what the tide is doing. Cleaning my lens. All the while watching the sea. For a low weather front is often accompanied by 'rogue' waves that can appear out of nowhere.
