Porthcurno's wonderful, shining sand is made from crushed shells. It reflects the light and adds a refined texture to the foregrounds of my photographs. However, it requires precision timing to pin a wave on it, as the flooding rush rapidly dissipates. In this image, the soft hues of the early hours colouring the clouds caught my eye, yet it was the amazing symmetry found in the pressing wave that made the shot.
Besides the popular formats listed in the drop down menu below, this image would ideally suit reproduction as a large Hi Gloss 6mm Acrylic artwork. The textures and hues would be enhanced by the high silver content in the print and the clarity and depth in the acrylic glass would add impact.
