Crantock Bay showing off its best summer colours.
Early in the morning, before the crowds descended and the sun rose too high (to make the light too bright), I walked through the dunes to find a lofted position looking across this magnificent bay. Overhead the impossibly blue sky hosted swirls of high cloud that would soon burn off as the temperature soared. The tide was at full ebb, revealing the expanse of golden sands and the River Gannel's meander.
